These are photos from my Christmas, Christmas vacation with my father visiting my brother in Fernie, and new years. They are in no particular order. It’s winter and I’ve been shooting nothing. When it gets warmer there are a few series I’ll be shooting and maybe I’ll post the random snapshot.

Washington School

So I purchased a Mamiya 7 with a 65mm f4 from a woman in Boston. Actually a gentleman named Derek Vincent purchased the camera on my behalf and shipped it to me. He was extremely helpful and I owe him greatly. Anyhow I just put my first roll through it and am very happy. It was mostly boring photos and as such I will share them here. The rest of the shots are 645 from my bronica. The back broke while I was on a camping trip so I never even finished the roll so I just got it processed now.

Hung Upside Down

I know I haven’t been posting here too often recently but big things are coming!

In other news my friend liz months ago posted a note saying “The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me.”. I was one of those five people and as a result she made me some delicious Jams and I’ve really enjoyed them. But part of the deal was that I would have to do the same thing.

So the first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. I don’t know what it will be yet and I’m not sure how long it will take but it will get done. Everyone is free to respond I dont need to know you.

Here is a random shot from the summer. Clay (the gentleman in this shot) is moving to Mexico with his girlfriend (my close friend Emily) in a week or so. So here is to you clay!

Rhineland

Hello all. This is my first digital post in a very long time. I went camping this past labour day weekend with Katherine, Lindsay, Will, Emily, Clay, Alnis, and Brooke. We had a wonderful time. We went up to Koshlong lake which is near Haliburton. We stayed on a fabulous piece of crown land. I put my canoe on my car and we made the trek up north. These shots are all from a digital camera. They are presented from newest to oldest. This first shot is Emily the day before we left. The last shot is when we arrived in the woods in the dark trying to find our way to the camp sight. Will was quite knowledgeable of the area and had camped here many times before so he had marked the site with some rocks at the service road. Anyhow I have included a shot of Lindsay driving in front of my car because I think it’s funny to take digital shots that look somewhat in the style of commercial car ads. This attempt was far from it but it’s still a funny cliche.

These are My Twisted Words

Got a bit of film back recently. I went up to montreal for the Rogers Cup. I had never been to a tennis tournament before and Evan was kind enough to host me. We have a portrait that sums up our weekend nicely.

Some of the other shots are from when clay and emily and I went and hung out with my parents and took their boat out for a spin. More shots of me than usual on that little trip.

I got new batteries for my camera but am still having trouble metering with my 50mm, not sure what the deal is, but I’ve just been metering externally.
