so here are some shots off the 30d tonight. man I hate digital two of these were shot at 1600 iso and one at 3200. can you guess which one? hmmm let me guess! I’ll stick with the trix thank you. I did shoot some trix tonight it’s 120 and I’ll process it tomorrow if I get a chance although unless I cut it and add perfs it wont fit in the new scanner, so old scanner it is.

I don’t know if it’s just my monitor, but the grain in Mr. Trumpet’s background shadows is showing this gross horizontal streaking pattern… yuck. Could be more my laptop monitor though and the compression, it’s really sensitive to jpeg artifacting. Probably has something to do with the fact that you have to move your head up and down to catch the whole dynamic range - no matter where you’re looking from you’re either blowing highlights or dropping shadows. Cool shots in spite of the tool though, and in the end, not all that bad. I want more shadow on the bassist’s face. Did you try to pull that one lighter in post? Or are these all right off the camera? I like the first and third especially.
