Weekend

This post has been a long time coming. Goes back quite a while. Basically, a lot of me screwing around with my medium format 75mm lens hand holding it in front of the 5d with a sock between the body and the lens to create a tilt shift effect. Very sophisticated! There are shots at my parents place for my grandfathers 80th birthday. Family, cousins, etc. Then some more tilt shift from out the window of the office at work. Then there are a bunch of shots from the theatre, I was lighting a play for a week then some cast party shots. Oh there’s a washroom break photo in there somewhere too. The end! Very exciting. Anyhow I’ve put a couple rolls of triX through my new pen d3. I should have a chance to scan those this week. I also have a roll of 120 laying around from the summer that I should scan.

  1. Love those pictures, Ryan!!! Especially the miniature-looking ones of us on stage… who knew I could look even smaller… Awesome work, bro.

Woah dude, I’m such a sucker for these kind of t/s shots!! They look puhretty awesome. I really like the ones you shot of the streets, especially this one: http://atheistponcho.com/weekend/IMG_9696.html
How much distance was there between the body and the lens? I had no idea you could create a t/s effect by putting a sock between those, haha.
Oh and I also really love these frames: http://atheistponcho.com/weekend/IMG_9368.html and http://atheistponcho.com/weekend/IMG_9399.html Such shots should get more and more precious over the years :)
